WWW.MARSHALL.EDU/FOUNDATION Student Orientation For the fourth year, the Marshall University Foundation provided the Class of 2022 with its class banner. Throughout four days in June, July and August, the foundation encouraged students to leave their mark and get a free photo by the Memorial Fountain. The most popular majors of the incoming freshmen that we saw were biology, business, education, engineering, forensics and nursing, to name a few. Student orientation provides students the opportunity to get acquainted with the Huntington campus prior to move-in day. It allows them to complete their course schedules, get their laptops set up, meet with financial aid, take a tour of campus and much more. There also are sessions for parents and guardians of the incoming freshmen. The Marshall University Foundation has enjoyed establishing this tradition for students. Not only does it allow us to meet the incoming class, but it helps students be more receptive in participating in Thank-A-Donor Days and student interviews, both of which point out the generosity you provide and allows students to learn more about the importance of giving back to their alma mater.
